Guest lecturers Catherine Newhart and Janet Lee will explore how to effectively use various revenue streams, primarily focusing on commissions.
Thursday, June 28

Guest lecturer and professional preparator Drei Keil will demonstrate how to properly prepare your artwork for display in a gallery, and how to wrap your artwork to keep it safe during transportation.

Artist Alliance members participate in sharing and critique sessions promoting professional development. Not a member? No problem, join now or at the event!

Second Wednesday Every Month*

Artist Alliance members $12, visitors $15
Artists will work from a combination of 5 to 40 minute poses during this non-instructed session. Live model, table, and chairs are provided. Artists to bring their own drawing materials. *Summer dates differ, check OMA website calendar.

Call For Artists - Art on 30th -Creamsicle


Bring on Summer! Any piece that features the color "cream" or that celebrates summer in San Diego is eligible.

E L I G I B L E  M E D I U M S
All 2-dimensional art welcome and any 3-dimensional artwork that fits on a pedestal. Photography and journal pages are also welcomed if prepared for hanging.

All art must be ready-to-hang. Please affix two D-rings on the back of your work as the gallery utilizes a wire hanging system.

H O W  T O    E N T E R
Enter via Eventbrite online HERE (choose the ticket that best fits the number of entries you have). Then you may submit your art digitally online or drop off in-person (see dates below). Accepted artists will be notified after the jurors have made their decisions.

Important Note:
Accepted digital entries MUST be ready to drop-off at the gallery on Monday, June 11th between 11am-2pm. You may drop off earlier before jurying.

Looking for an artist to sit on the artist selection committee for the new San Diego Branch Library in Pacific Highlands Ranch. (In design phase)

The City of San Diego Commission for Arts & Culture has asked City Councilmember Barbara Bry to appoint one citizen/artist to the selection committee, and she would like to find someone with art education and/or experience. If you know an artist in the Carmel Valley, and specifically, Pacific Highlands Ranch, could you please forward this email to them, and ask them to kindly respond to:

Opening Reception - SECOND ACT at the Front Porch Gallery, May 20th


Front Porch Gallery invites you to experience Second Act, a collection of works by artists who found their calling later in life. From those who had long careers in other professions to those returning to passion from youth - the creative expressions in their work are as unique and varied as the stories that brought them to it. Come be inspired by the power of art to transform not only the viewer, but the artists themselves.
