The North Park Festival of Arts is conveniently located in the heart of North Park’s historic, eclectic, charming commercial district. Centered around the intersection of 30th Street and University Avenue, the event can be accessed from both the 805 Freeway (University Ave/North Park Way Exit), the 163 Freeway (Exit University Ave, and head east about 3 miles), or by surface streets. Just north of Balboa Park, our location makes for an ideal weekend adventure, full of art, culture, shopping, and culinary treats.

ArtBeat on Main Street Invites Artists to Enter Vista Strawberry Festival Poster Contest


 ArtBeat on Main Street invites artists to submit their original poster designs for the 2014 Vista Strawberry Festival. The submission deadline is May 17, 2013. Entries will be highlighted and winners announced at a festive May 25, 2013 celebration – complete with fresh strawberries, of course! – at the Gallery, which is located at 330 Main Street in downtown Vista.

 The theme of the artwork should reflect the flavor and spirit of the Festival. Entrants need not reside in Vista. Complete contest guidelines are at http://www.artbeatonmainstreet.com/assets/strawberry_festival_prospectus.pdf.

 The annual Vista Strawberry Festival is presented by the Vista Chamber of Commerce [www.VistaChamber.org] and sponsored by ArtBeat and several other local businesses and organizations. This year’s event takes place on May 26, 2013.   The winning design will become the iconic image for the 2014 Festival. It will be displayed on posters and featured in related publicity. The first-place entrant will receive $250. Cash prizes also will be awarded to second-place, third-place and people’s choice winners.

San Diego Musuem Art Guild Artists - Invites You to Join ARTout - May 1, 2013, 7-9pm



You are cordially invited to join Guild members for our next ARTout, hosted by AG Member Zorica Joy on May 1, 2013 - 7 - 9 p.m., Location:  (RSVP to receive address and directions).



“ARTouts” are artist “Get-Togethers” hosted by Guild members. Normally, 10 to 15 members attend. Artists bring a piece of their work to show and we usually have a lively discussion. Artists also bring food to share with everyone.  ARTouts give us an opportunity to  connect with Guild members and get to know each others' works better.

During the 32nd annual Art Alive exhibition, 103 floral designers present exquisite floral interpretations of famous works of art. As the Museum’s signature fundraiser and a San Diego tradition, Art Alive 2013 brings the Museum's Permanent Collection to life in a unique and beautiful way, including vibrant displays of color, texture and shape. In addition to three full days of activities and celebrations, Bella Meyer, granddaughter of artist Marc Chagall and founder and creative director for FleursBella Beautifiers in New York City, will transform the Rotunda into a breathtaking floral experience for visitors as they enter the building.
