Solo artist show with Bonnie Hineline-Kempner at La Vida Del Mar January 3, 2014

Come enjoy an opening reception, Friday, January 3, 2014, 4:30 – 6:00 pm at La Vida Del Mar.

Solo artist, Bonnie Hineline-Kempner is a member of Coastal Artists, and a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast and will include her paintings of many subjects, in oils and pastels..
The exhibit runs Jan 2-31, 2014 and can be seen daily, 11am - 5pm, located at 850 Del Mar Downs Rd. , Del Mar. Call (858) 755-1224 for more information.

San Dieguito Art Guild presents 2014 art classes: Because We Like Hue

Join the San Dieguito Art Guild Artists in presenting to you wonderful Art classes for 2014.  Enjoy!

Saturdays January 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2014, 9am to noon, Senior/Community Center, Encinitas, Because We Like Hue - "Fun with Glass" with Kate O'Brien. Stained glass and fused glass. Learn to transfer a pattern to glass, cut and foil glass, solder the glass pieces together, the fundamentals of fusing and glass kiln firing schedules. All tools provided. $25 materials fee includes two firings. 4 sessions of 3 hours per session. Info: contact Kate O'Brien to reserve your space and pay for classes. Monday, Jan. 13, 9:30am -12:30pm ,San Diego Botanic Garden, Ecke Building, 230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024. Fee $25 . "Try It, You'll Like It" hand-on workshops taught by the skilled artists from the San Dieguito Art Guild. Choice of Mosaics, Oil Painting, Jewelry or Postcard Watercolor Painting. Fridays, Jan 10, 17, 24, 31, 2014, 9:30am to 12:30pm. San Diego Botanic Garden, Because We Like Hue - Chinese Brush Painting with Lisa Curry. Learn the basics of painting chrysanthemum and plum blossoms and bamboo, importance of posture, how to wield the brush, and the state of mind necessary to complete a painting with 'chi' or energy! $20 materials fee. 4 sessions of 3 hours per session. Thursdays, January 16, 23, 30 and February 6, 2014. 10am to 1pm (Intermediate) 2-5pm (Beginning) Solana Beach area, Because We Like Hue - Continuing Watercolor with Linda Melvin. Thursdays, Jan. 23 & 30, Feb. 6 & 13 from 9:30-12:30, San Marcos area, Because We Like Hue - Beginning drawing with Barbara Roth. Learn or improve your ability to draw. Drawing is not "Rocket Science" it is just learning some basic drawing concepts and then practicing them. By the end of the classes you'll be able to sit down and produce a sketch you can keep in a sketchbook, hang on a wall, sell or use for a watercolor painting. 4 sessions of 3 hours per session. Call to Artists- ALL MEDIA EXHIBITION| Vista Visions 2014

February 24 – April at the  Civic  Gallery

The City of Vista’s Civic Gallery welcomes entries for its all-media exhibition, “Vista Visions 2014” Exhibition. Sponsored  by the City of Vista, Public Arts Commission.

You are invited to submit up to three entries for consideration in the exhibition.  Selected works will be exhibited from February 24, though April 3, 2014. Entry deadline is January 24 via

There will be $1,200 in awards: $500 First Place Award; $400 Second Place Award; $300 Third Place Award, and ten honorable mention awards.
