1st Annual Encinitas Flea Market - Call to Vintage Vendors

Encinitas Friends of the Arts (EFA) is sponsoring its 1st Annual Encinitas Flea Market at Pacific View, with EACEA (Encinitas Arts Culture and Ecology Alliance), on July 29.2017. This is a community event to support the restoration of Pacific View School into a community supported arts, culture and ecology hub.

All art must be original. Vintage items must be 50 years or older, with the exception of
collectibles, one of a kind items from the 70's and treasures could include quality collectibles, clothing, ethnic items, and holiday gift items. There will be live music, food trucks, baked goods, and the opportunity to see the site while finding treasures and collectibles. 

Please come and browse for some great collectible art and treasures. Please invite friends and family to attend this fun event and if you like to dress up in vintage clothing please do so as you may be able to get in for free. Entrance fee is $2 per person.

The event committee reserves the right to select, locate or refuse any application that is not suitable for all ages or does not meet the established criteria. EFA reserves the right to limit the number of vendors selling similar types of items such as jewelry. (First come first serve bases, and we will curate to make sure that we have a good mix).

2019 CALL FOR ARTISTS, City of Encinitas


The Civic Arts Program, City of Encinitas, Arts Division is seeking artists for individual and group exhibitions of two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) artworks. In 2019, the city will mount a total of 52 art exhibits. Artists, both amateur and professional, are invited to submit an application for consideration. 




Exhibit Information:
Civic Center (2 month exhibits) - 2D, 3D
Encinitas Library (2 week exhibits) - 2D, 3D
Encinitas Community Center (2 month exhibit) 2D, 3D. For more gallery information, visit the details.

Eligibility:
The exhibition program is open to artists who live in the City of Encinitas and San Diego county, age 18 or older. Amateur and professional artists are encouraged to apply. 


Process:
Applications to exhibit in 2019 are accepted from January through October 1st, 2018. A Visual Art Selection Committee, comprised of gallery directors, visual art instructors and professional artists, will jury the applications and determine the exhibit schedule for the following year. Artist notification begins in November.

Art Sales:
All income from the sale of art goes to the artist. There is no gallery commission. 
The Civic Arts Program was established in 1998 as a service to local artists by the City of Encinitas Arts Division and Commission for the Arts.
