Develop Your Artistic Eye through Drawing with Judy Salinsky, Instructor

Date/Schedule: June 24-28 (5 days), Mon-Fri, 10AM –4PM (1 hour break)
Fee:  $250/270

The Athenaeum’s School of the Arts in University Heights is offering a fun, interactive class this summer designed for anyone who wants to improve their basic drawing skills. During this five-day workshop (June 24-28), students will begin by exploring the basic shapes that are the foundation of all drawings and paintings. The students will learn, through a process of observation and artistic prospective, to render realistic drawings of three-dimensional objects. By the end of the workshop, students will use the concept of light and shadow to create drawings that literally pop out of the paper.

The instructor, Judy Salinsky, is a multi-media artist who believes that basic drawing skills are at the core of all two and three-dimensional art forms. Over the last 10 years, Judy has had the opportunity to share her knowledge, enthusiasm, and love for art as a faculty member at both Palomar and San Diego Community Colleges.
