Charity Wings Art Center Sponsors 24-hour Global Hope-a-thon

San Marcos, CA  – In conjunction with the 2014 Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Mega Show and in coordination with the newly formed Fabric Arts Council’s Banners of Hope project,Charity Wings is presenting 24 hours of world-wide crafting events to be streamed live starting Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at noon PT and ending at noon PT Thursday January 16th.

The “Banners of Hope” project features fabric-based banners created before and during the CHA Mega Show to express messages of hope and encouragement in an artistic format. During the 24-hour Hope-a-thon, Charity Wings Art Center will sponsor 48 live-streamed technique demonstrations and workshops by internationally renowned artists so that viewers worldwide may contribute their own banners of Hope to the project. The community and press are invited to attend this free event where they will be guided to create their own banner of hope to become part of a traveling exhibit that will be displayed in locations such as hospitals, children’s centers and shelters to benefit those in challenging circumstances.
