City of Encinitas, Cultural Arts Seeking Artists to Exhibit in 2018

The City of Encinitas - Parks & Recreation, Cultural Arts, invites artists to apply and exhibit two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, to be selected for one of the city’s three art galleries; Civic Center Gallery, Encinitas Library Gallery or the Encinitas Community Center Gallery. Both amateur and professional artists are encouraged to submit an application for consideration.
All proceeds from the sale of art goes to the artist, there are no fees or gallery commission. “The visual art program is a service to Encinitas and San Diego County artists.

"I was very fortunate to have artwork exhibited in a show with the city of Encinitas, and to sell nine paintings, far beyond my expectations,” said artist Neil Brooks.

Artists who want to be considered for a gallery exhibition must complete an online application and submit digital images of their artwork. Application and instructions are available on the Visual Art page on the website: http://bit.ly/2oLKeK7 ,
deadline to apply is September 15, 2017.

For questions please contact Cheryl Ehlers, Curator, Arts Program Assistant at cehlers@encinitasca.gov, or 760-633-2748.

A Charity Auction Opportunity for Artists
Email For Details To: Julie Weaverling at: JWEAVERLING@frontporch.net
The San Diego County Employees’ Charitable Organization (CECO) will be hosting an upcoming charity auction. CECO is a non-profit, employee-managed organization that raises money to support local non-profit agencies and eligible employees in need, and they are holding a silent auction in October as part of their annual fundraising campaign.  The organization would love to have artwork of all types and price ranges donated to be part of this event.  All items donated will be listed online so that all of their nearly 15,000 employees will be able to participate in the silent auction. Since 1956, CECO has distributed millions of dollars to non-profit agencies in support of a variety issues impacting the San Diego community including homelessness, veterans in need, at-risk youth and the Access and Functional Needs populations.
