Synergy Art Foundation -Call to Artists - FROM BLANKS 2 BEAUTY” (B2B) project
SYNERGY ART FOUNDATION is inviting local artists to participate in our 2014 “FROM BLANKS 2 BEAUTY” (B2B) project.
CALL TO ARTISTS: Come on have some fun for a great cause!
The exhibition/silent auction of these works will be vital part of our annual FUNdraiser to be held at the World Beat Center, Balboa Park, on Saturday, November 15, 2014. The event will include the B2B Exhibition/Silent Auction, fabulous live music, exciting performance, art installations and much more. Entry to the Event will be free for all B2B participant, so long as all contact information is provided.
The theme this year for B2B is “ROOTS”. We encourage all participants to interpret this creatively. To assist, here are some definitions of “roots” which we hope might be inspirational:
Theme: To establish deeply and firmly the basic cause, source or origin of something, e.g." love of money is the root of all evil”
The part of a thing attaching it to a greater or more fundamental whole; the end or base
Family, ethnic, or cultural origins
A number when multiplied by itself a specific number of times equals another number (e.g. 2 is the square root of 4)
Underground base of a plant (some edible), tree, hair, tooth etc.
This year, we are honored to have two amazing jurors – ROBERT PINCUS and MARK LUGO. They will select the best 100 artworks (10X10 canvas) to be displayed and auctioned at our event. If your piece is NOT selected, you may elect to have it returned. All proceeds will benefit Synergy’s EASL and PWER grant programs. Canvases will be issued on a first‐come first‐served basis. Interested artists may pick up/drop off a blank/completed canvas (maximum 2 per artist). For more information apply:
