Congratulate, Artist Jayne Spencer

Jayne is a very diverse artist.  Checkout her classes too!

Posted recently in yhe Escondido News.

“As an artist, the events of the past two weeks moved me to paint a portrait of George Floyd, whose death has sparked a long-overdue nationwide awareness of the racial inequities that our nation clearly has not moved past. I am thrilled that my work made the front page of the Escondido News, https://www.escondidograpevine.com/tag/escondido-news/.

This was a very emotional portrait to paint when I was painting his beautiful face the tears started running down my cheeks. I was thinking about his life,  family,  kids and how he died. My mom always told me to treat others how you would want to  be treated. Such a simple concept. May this world come together and make real change for a better future for all mankind.

The Gallery & Hemp Life Announces Grand Opening and Art Reception Coronado, California

The Gallery & Hemp Life Announces Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Flagship CBD Store in Coronado, California

Coronado: The opening of The Gallery & Hemp Life, stands out from other CBD shops in San Diego County, and elevates the consumers experience by combining the beauty of local artwork with retail, where you can indulge in an experience like no other, and an unparalleled business for all things health, wellness and beauty. We cater to high-end tastes and refined palettes, and are more than a store.

We curate a selection of CBD products that are designed to help reduce pain and anxiety for people and pets. Merchandise includes specialty oils, creams, gummies, concentrates, edibles, and topical. The Gallery and Hemp Life isn’t like your typical CBD experience. It’s a unique and beautiful establishment that blends the line between retail and the most dynamic art to intricate sculptures, textiles and jewelry. We invite you to experience what it means to shop in class and transcend the usual. “This is a new look for the industry. It was conceived because of our strong desire to change the stigma around CBD by creating a high-end boutique. The opening of this store is significant to me because there was a need in the community to create a space that was warm and inviting; where people of all ages who are new to CBD products and those that are familiar with the many benefits it offers could find the best CBD products procured”, said founder Michael Tepper.

The Gallery & Hemp Life, will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting of its flagship store

4pm, Saturday, March 21, 2020 and will feature the store’s three local acclaimed artists, Cheryl Ehlers; an award winning and published artist who’s artwork and jewelry is filled with dynamic color in varied styles, Judy Salinsky, a bronze sculptress specializing in ocean artworks, and a member of the National Sculpture Society, and Rosemary Valente, who’s textiles are taken from her German expressionism style paintings. Music and refreshments will be offered.

Located at 126 Orange Avenue, CA, 92118, next to the Coronado Mexican Village Cocina Y Cantina, between 2nd St & 1st St. For store information contact owner Michael Tepper at 442-400-9284; and art curator Cheryl Ehlers at 760-519-1551.

Creative artist Jayne Spencer gets teaching

Check out Jayne's great news article and consider signing up for a class.

Don’t tell award-winning watercolor, portrait and landscape artist Jayne Spencer that art is best executed and appreciated only by fellow artists. An award-winning creative artist and teacher, like TV’s father, knows best.

Cheryl Ehlers: A Retrospective, Nov, 23, 6pm

Many times over the years I've looked at a piece I've made and thought to myself, I can't remember doing that.' One remembers only traces of what happened. In that sense one main function of the art work is that it is an artifact of the process.

The more difficult task has been to consider what it's all been about. My own belief as an artist is that much of what I do (the art making part, that is) happens in a kind of trance, or mental zone. There is a notion that it is through the channel of a person that creativity flows and significant art making happens. In that regard, it is much like art choosing the person rather than the person choosing to be an artist. Indeed, I don't really remember ever making the decision to become a painter, I found myself being one.

Join me for Cheryl Ehlers: A Retrospective, exhibiting: November 6 - Jan 6, 2020.

Reception: Saturday, Art Night, November 23, 6-9pm at the Encinitas Library: 540 Cornish Drive, 92024. FREE
